PRE-GAME MEAL BEFORE HE LEFT HOME:
“It was my favorite local restaurant in Squaw Valley, CA – Plumjacks,” he wrote in an email to FTW. “A burger, no bun, topped with bacon, cheddar and a fried egg. With a big fresh local greens salad on the side! And my girlfriend Emily Harrington’s paleo chocolate chip cookies for dessert!”
ON THE MOUNTAIN IT’S A DIFFERENT STORY.
“Summit night we wake up at 11:30 pm. I have a Wildway hot cereal packet with some dried cherries and cashews on top, and an Alpine Start Dirty Chai Instant Coffee. Then it’s go time!!”
